NATA 2017, National Aptitude Test in Architecture 2017

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture also called as NATA is an examination that tests candidates on their sense of proportion, perception skills, drawing skills, aesthetic knowledge and their ability to think creatively. This aptitude test tests the candidates on different skills that are necessary for architects. This exam can be taken up by students over a long period of time. There are two phases of examinations. The first phase started on 14th march 2014 and runs till 25th may. The second phase is from 1st june until 31st august. Students who are interested in appearing for NATA tests should register in the NATA website online. The score from the exam will be considered valid for a period of two years. The total marks for which the exam is conducted is 200.

NATA 2016 Eligibility Criteria 

Students who have completed their secondary school education (class 10) or equivalent successfully are eligible to apply for NATA. For students to be eligible for Architect courses, the candidate must have scored at least 40% marks in the NATA test. Even though students who have completed class X can take up NATA, the admission to the B.Arch courses is possible only on completion of higher secondary education (class XII).

NATA 2017 Application Procedure

Applying for NATA is simple. Students are required to register online. The candidates have to pay an amount of Rs.1000 to appear for NATA. The candidate can choose a convenient test center from the list of centers available online. The filled application form should be printed out and the candidate must pay a visit to the chosen test center along with all required documents. At the test center, the candidate should choose a convenient date for taking up the exam. Once the date is registered, the candidate can collect the appointment letter from the test center.
